Counselling Services

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. Spotting the warning signs early on to prevent both the emotional and physical effects of stress is vital.  There are many times in our lives when we feel simply out of control.  The decision to ask for help is not always easy.  There are a number of things to take into account, which include valuing your health, and investing both the time and the money into your wellbeing.

Being able to talk about problems without feeling judged is important. Being able to understand why you think, feel and behave as you do can lead to you being able to make positive changes in your life.

Of course counselling isn’t just about being listened too, it includes being offered coping strategies different perspectives and on occasions Homework.

By having the space and time to talk, to be heard, and to have your concerns validated can lead to many improvements in your life, such as:-

  • Understanding of your own patterns of behaviour
  • Untangling confused thoughts and feelings
  • Increasing your self-esteem and confidence
  • Finding useful strategies to help you to cope
  • Feeling more motivated and energised to deal with life’s challenges

I provide a number of therapeutic counselling services and these include:-

  • Counselling for workplace issue
  • Counselling for personal problems
  • Clinical Supervision & Professional Support
  • Counselling Training

I understand that in today’s busy lifestyle, making time to go and see a counsellor can feel like just one more thing that to do. This is one of the reasons that, in addition to face to face, I offer a telephone and online counselling service, making counselling easy to access in your own home, at work, or in any other space where you feel comfortable without the need to travel so we can have counselling where ever you are in the world.

Online counselling can be via Skype Teams Zoom or Facetime

Whatever medium you choose the cost is the same with each session lasting for up to 50 minutes.  Although there isn’t a limit to the amount of sessions you have I often find that most difficulties can be improved in quite a short space of time so between 6 and 10 sessions would be usual, with us reviewing this number during the counselling.

Counselling starts with an assessment to establish your difficulties and how you are currently coping.  We work together to understand what areas of your life you want to change and we set a focus and goals on how you can achieve the changes.

I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation so that you can find out a bit more about me and the way I work – where should I put this statement?

If you’re suffering from stress or anxiety and worried about both the emotional and physical effects, then it’s time to consider counselling – get in touch or call 07786 996984 today
