Counselling and Therapeutic Services in Newark

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. Spotting the warning signs early on to prevent both the emotional and physical effects of stress is vital.  There are many times in our lives when we feel simply out of control.  The decision to ask for help is not always easy.  There are a number of things to take into account, which include valuing your health, and investing both the time and the money into your wellbeing.

Being able to talk about problems without feeling judged is important. Being able to understand why you think, feel and behave as you do can lead to you being able to make positive changes in your life.

I understand that in today’s busy lifestyle, making time to go and see a counsellor can feel like just one more thing that takes up your time. This is one of the reasons I offer a telephone counselling service, making counselling easy to access in your own home, at work, or in any other space where you feel comfortable, alone and uninterrupted without the need to travel. Plus, this means that distance is not an issue and we can work together, wherever you are.

In the same way that face-to-face counselling works, we would agree to set appointments and each counselling “session” will last up to 50 minutes. With over a decade’s experience, I have successfully counselled many clients via the telephone.

What’s more, I am also able to offer Video counselling via Skype or Facetime

Generally, my counselling services are  short term, so between 6 and 10 sessions would be the usual amount of time I would work with you.  Our sessions would be focused, setting clear goals at the start of our sessions.   If during our counselling sessions you feel that you would benefit from further sessions, then we can discuss your needs and we would agree together how many more sessions would be helpful.

If you’re suffering from stress and worried about both the emotional and physical effects, then it’s time to consider counselling – get in touch or call 07786 996984 today
