Clinical Supervision for Frontline Professionals
People in front line roles can be confronted with a range of challenging situations creating significant stress at work. A stressful workplace or role can have a huge impact on your working life. If your day-to-day role involves dealing with distressing or emotionally charged tasks or information, or you have to deal with difficult or threatening behaviour, this can all take its toll on you and your health. Often seen as ‘part of the job’, people can be left feeling stressed, anxious or depressed, which can have a dramatic impact on your confidence.
For those jobs where the welfare of others can be at stake, it can seem almost impossible to go home at the end of the day and to leave your work at work.
If you are in a role where any of the above applies to you and you want a safe confidential environment to deal with the impact of your role, then this could be the right support for you.
Professional Support is a service that allows space and time to ‘unload’ and reflect on the challenges of difficult roles, whilst identifying the impact your work may be having on your personal and professional life.
Professional Support can also help identify a variety of coping strategies, enabling you to assess how you are functioning and at what level. Plus, we would identify any factors that may pose a risk to yourself or your workplace. I can also help you to identify and source further support, if required.
Professional Support sessions would usually be held on a monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly basis depending on your needs, and would last between 30 minutes and an hour. These sessions can take place face-to-face, over the phone or by video link such as Skype or Facetime.
